Am I insured to drive someone else's car? How do I provide evidence of entitlement for a No Claims Discount? Information about Excess Payments Can I insure my car for business? What are the Laws concerning car Insurance?

Many insurers will allow their comprehensive policyholders to drive other cars as long as they have a full driving licence. This means that you can drive your friend's car BUT your insurer may limit the insurance to third party cover. Therefore, if you had an accident in your friend's car and it was your fault , the other party involved in the accident will be able to claim on your insurance but your friend is left with an accident damaged car and no insurance cover. That will be the time you find out how out good your friend really is!! If the accident wasn't your fault , then there is a claim against the other party's insurance.
