Proof of your entitlement to a No Claim Discount can be confirmed as follows:

  1. An original letter from your previous insurer which confirms your current level of No Claim Discount.
  2. A Renewal Notice from your previous insurer.
  3. A telephone call between your new insurer and your previous insurer.

If you have been driving a company car and wish to use your driving record on that car to qualify for a no claims discount, then you will need to provide a letter on company headed paper which contains the following information:

  • The name of your employers' car Insurer and their policy number.
  • The dates between which you were insured under the company car scheme.
  • Confirmation from your employer that you were the sole user of that company car during the period stated.
  • Details of any claims, accidents or losses which occurred during the period you drove the vehicle and whether these were settled on a fault, or no fault, basis. This will be necessary to enable your new insurer to analyse your claims history.
  • Confirmation that you no longer drive a company car.
